Math with LaTeX

Energy is \( E = mc^2 \).
Also works: $a^2 + b^2 = c^2$

• Inline $ ... $ must sit on one line and cannot have a space right after $ (use \( \) if unsure).
• Math inside code fences or `inline code` is never rendered as math — safe for literal $ signs.
• Common commands work: \frac{a}{b}, \sqrt{x}, \alpha, \sum_{i=1}^{n}, superscripts x^2, subscripts x_i.
